Changing to NDT

As a result of difficulties sourcing T3 I have purchased Thiroyd tabs. 60mg . From Thailand with the aid of a friend who has used them for some time

I hope to start soon and would be grateful for dosing advice.

I take 75 mcg T4 and 20 :mcg T3. At present.

I researched Thiroyd and it contains 35mcg T4 and 8.31 mcg T3

Can you please help how I best make the transition , remembering I have no thyroid .

Thank you for all help you give .

I would be inclined to just take the two grains or 120 mg that looks like it is just a tiny bit less than you already take.

I agree with Mandyjane. Sometimes our bodies use desiccated thyroid differently to levothyroxine and liothyronine, which may mean you need slightly more or slightly less NDT. 2 tablets is a good starting point, and if after a couple of weeks you feel you need more, you could try upping the dose by another quarter to half a tablet, and see how you go with that for another 2 weeks.
