I have been diagnosed hashi for over 10 yrs, under 60yrs female, and have never been able to raise my T4 and T3 levels into the higher range.
I take : vit D, T3 (20), Levo (150)
Anything less and i Swell up and have a foggy head, joints hurt, migraines for days.
Recent bt
Tsh 0.05 range 0.27 - 4.5
T4 13 Range 11 - 23
T3 4
I’m in the uk so standard ranges apply. Warm weather and therefore the best they are going to be. Before T3 the highest was still 13. But felt really bad years ago.
I am ok on my prescription but new rules £ probably want this changed. Now I don’t want to be awkward and I don’t want to be ill as I am a full time carer and part time teacher, but I need to approach this expertly myself to help my Gp make sensible decisions for my health in the future.
Any suggestions from the wise. Don’t link the parliament regret article, as it is not practical to me.

There are no standard ranges, anywhere. Ranges vary from lab to lab so to interpret your results you need the ranges from the lab that did your tests.
For any thyroid hormone to work we need optimal nutrient levels. I see you are taking Vit D, what was your level when tested and what dose are you taking. Also there are important cofactors needed when taking D3 so are you taking those - most importantly magnesium and Vit K2-MK7 vitamindcouncil.org/about-v...
Besides your Vit D level, you need the following tested
B12
Folate
Ferritin
Have you had thyroid antibodies tested to know if you have autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashimoto's?
There may be gut issues preventing proper absorption of the thyroid hormone, do you know of any problems there? Maybe do the easy home baking soda stomach acid test for starters scdlifestyle.com/2012/03/3-...
I added T3 recently to T4 as I could not get my FT3 to even halfway thru range for over 12 years, although I got my FT4 above on 133 mcg levothyroxin. After 7 weeks on 25 mcg T3 with 75 mcg levothyroxin my blood tests showed my FT3 had actually gone down a bit, FT4 dipped by 10 points, and TSH too greatly suppressed. So something similar may have happened to you. Have you rechecked your Vit/ min levels, do you have poor gut absorption from Hashimoto's? It was suggested by forum members i up my levothyroxin dose, which I am doing...possibly seeing a difference as had two days out of 3 without a mid afternoon nap. Did you try raising your levothyroxin before you started T3 to beyond FT4 range, assuming your Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin were optimal at the time? Obviously as you start taking T3 conventional thyroid blood tests and ranges become inappropriate, except perhaps for active FT3 above mid range etc, but it should be how you feel.
