Just read an article that explains that this condition is caused by a hormone imbalance and high levels of testosterone. I know that those of us who do not convert our T4 too good may be increasing our rT4 which ive read may increase our testosterone levels and hence is this why im getting severe back pain. Back pain is associated with ovarian cysts as a common indicator. My GP has made no link and does not like things to by pointed out to him. Any ideas what I should do. I have had a scan which confirmed that I have a ovarian cyst but during re scan the unpleasant examiner could not find my ovary so was waiting for hospital referral but ive had nothing come through. Im on my forth course of anti-inflammatories and now ive got an inflamed cyst on my stomach right about where my ovaries are.
