Omega 3 result interpretation

Hi all

can anyone interpret this result for me? Medichecks website says the result should be a ratio, and a google search shows either a ratio or a percentage, but this is just a number with no units specified!

It says it's a ratio so there wouldn't be any units. A ratio is the result of one number divided by the other, so your result is the same as writing 4.69:1 - so too many omega 6s, but not as bad as many people.

that makes sense I guess.

Thanks

That result does say "Ratio" and yours is above the range given. Did you not opt for Doctor's Comments with Medichecks?

Don't normally bother with doctors comments as they normally just give you the health implications, in an NHS kind of fashion.

So, following on, can anyone recommend an Omega 3 supplement that does not contain Omega 6 and 9 also? It seems as though many (most?) contain 6 and 9 even when it is not actually listed on the nutrition facts - that kind of defeats the purpose !

Have a look at Cytoplan, an quality UK company producing quality supplements. I use their Krill Oil but they also do a Vegan Omega 3
