I have been feeling pretty sluggish lately especially in mornings and afternoons and wondered did my T3 need upped. Currently on T3 10mcg and T4 50mcg, T3 taken one 5mcg in am and one 5mcg pm.
Would I need to get levels tested first again? Is it also pointless testing FT3 to see how I convert as I’ve been on T3 a few months now.

You'd need to test FT3, when taking T3, to see if there's room for an increase, it wont tell you anything about conversion now you're taking T3.
When I was tweaking my doses of Levo and T3, I found that when FT4 fell too low I felt dreadful, I needed to increase my dose of Levo to bring FT4 up to the level that suits me best. I now know where both FT4 and FT3 need to be to suit me.
Thanks Susie. I feel the same, so perhaps this is the case and maybe my T4 needs put back up. I have slumped, I feel great on T3 but when it wears out I am extremely sluggish.
I guess a full panel is in order to see what’s what and I can post results when I have them back to the dreaded finger pricking 😨..
Depends on what you've had tested before. If you've had positive antibody results then you don't need those testing again, and if you've had recent vitamins and minerals done, perhaps you only need a basic panel - TSH, FT4 and FT3 (Thyroid Monitoring) which I think you might be lucky enough to get for £29 from Medichecks if the code MED70 is still working.
How long since dose change? You need to leave it 6 weeks before retesting. The Thyroid Monitoring will show your levels and you will see from them if you are taking enough T3 to get your FT3 up into the upper part of the range, which is where most people need it.
You probably wont get an accurate result. I have done many private tests whilst tweaking my doses of Levo and T3, and for me personally I need 8 weeks for my levels to stabilise (I'm not the only one who needs to leave it that long). So you could order the test but I would wait the full 6 weeks before using it.
