At a loss with dosage

I started taking T3 a couple of months ago alongside 150mg of T4.

I started T3 on 6.25mg and slowly upped it whilst checking my pulse and temperature. I am now on 25mg of T3 and still on 150mg of T4. I did drop the T4 down to 125mg and then 100mg but felt so dreadful I upped it again.

My pulse and temperature are still lower than they should be and I'm still exhausted.

I don't know whether I need to up the T3 even more or lower T4 or both.

If you've only been adding T3 for a few weeks it's still very early days. How many weeks have you been taking it and how long did you leave between increases? Have you retested? What are your levels now?

It's taken me 2 years of tweaking doses of Levo plus T3 to find what suits me best.

I've been taking T3 for about 7 weeks. I increased the dose every 2 weeks as I figured I'd know if I was over-dosing. If I don't sort this out soon, I'm going to lose my job. My pulse has never been over 55 since starting and temp never over 36.

I've not retested since starting as I can't afford the test yet.

I would expect to feel something after 7 weeks. Not falling asleep all the time would be nice! (I'm 36)

I think you're going to have to retest before you do anything else. You really shouldn't go beyond 25mcg until you know your current levels. You've made a lot of changes in 7 weeks, adding T3, 3 increases to get you to 25mcg plus you've changed your dose of Levo 3 or 4 times. You really need to stay on a stable dose of both for 6 weeks then retest. It all takes time. If I change my dose I've found I need a full 8 weeks to get the full effect and it to show in test results.

Yeah I understand that. It's just so frustrating trying to get through a normal day and nothing I try seems to help.

Do I stick with 25mg T3 and 150mg T4 or is that too high a dose together?

Often said that sumptoms can lag behind changes though not sure this applies with temp and pulse like it would with some but I do think you are confusing your body at the moment. It can be a slow journey before you get it right and you will probably need several tweaks before you get there but patience is needed though I do understand your quest for wanting to feel better but slow is the quickest way to get there as your body needs the time to adjust and can only cope with one change at a time hence the need to retesting as you progress
