Do I need to change dosage again?

My latest results are as follows:

Free T4 - 21.6 (12-22)

Free T3 - 7.44 (3.1-6.8)

TSH - 0.005 (0.27-4.2)

My results taken 6 months ago were:

Free T4 - 19.4 (same ranges)

Free T3 - 6.33

TSH - 0.005

After getting the results from 6 months ago, I reduced my T4 dosage to 125mg from 150mg. So I'm confused as to why both T3 and T4 have increased.

Do I need to reduce both or just one?

Currently on 125mg T4 and 25mg T3 (known to be a weaker brand but the same brand I've always used).

As you have Hashi's, your levels are going to fluctuate.

You could reduce either. Don't reduce both at the same time though.

If those were my results I think I'd be inclined to reduce T3 by 6.25mcg for now to get FT3 back into range. Retest in 6 weeks and reassess.

Yeah I might try that. Do you know if having either too high would make me more tired than usual?

I think anything is possible to be honest, it took me many, many months of tweaking doses to find what suited me best.

I was feeling amazing the last 5 months. Just recently all I want to do is sleep.

But you have Hashi's and the nature of Hashi's is that you get fluctuations with symptoms. I don't have Hashi's and can't imagine what it's ike trying to cope with the ups and downs of it.

I agree with SeasideSusie I’d reduce T3 by a quarter, it’ll be the easiest way to get relief faster if the tiredness is due to over range results.

Well, at the risk of disagreeing with SeasideSusie, how do you feel? Do you have any symptoms? Do you feel well?

Have you had any infections recently, a cold or anything?

I agree don’t change both doses at the same time. Just not sure I’d change either, unless I didn’t feel right.

Remember, there’s always a margin of error, the last result may have been 0.5 low and the latest 0.5 high.

You could just leave a T3 dose off one day and see what happens. Then resume same dose. Or follow SS advice if you want to reduce.

I've been feeling really tired lately which is why I got tested. I just want to do whatever I can to feeling ok again. A month ago I had lots of energy, despite the illness. I just can't figure out what's changed to make me so tired. All vitamin levels came back optimal.

Sometimes it’s only possible to find out by trial and error. Increase a bit, see how you feel, if not better in a couple of days, try lower.
