T4 11.5 (9.0-21.0)

Been diagnosed with Hashi about 2 weeks ago and I’m 6 days into 50 levothyroxine Ive been feeling awful for 6 weeks now although I’ve been having symptoms for years on and off including about 4 prolonged illnesses of 6-9 weeks were my symptoms have intensified so I’m wondering if this was just the onset of the thyroid problem of maybe something else s or even an accumulation of things?
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks

Being hypothyroid due to Hashimoto's often lowers vitamin levels
Your B12 is very low. Ask GP to run tests for Pernicious Anaemia and intrinsic factor before starting B12 sublingual supplements (assuming you don't get B12 injections from GP)
Also adding a good quality vitamin B complex, one with folate in. Eg Igennus Super B or Jarrow B-Right
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results
Ferritin is often above range in Hashimoto's m it should improve as you get things more under control
It takes full 6 weeks for each dose to be absorbed. So you have to be patient
Then bloods need retesting. All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting.
If on Levothyroxine, don't take in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
Dose is increased in 25mcg steps, retesting 6-8 weeks later each time, until TSH is around one and FT4 towards top of range and FT3 at least half way in range
Important to get vitamin levels optimal
Only make one change or add one supplement at a time.
Look at gluten free diet too, but first get vitamins optimal
