Replaced Levothyroxine for Thyroid S

Hi all

Eltroxin was fantastic for me initially but after a couple of months my bowels were permanently loose, bad spots/acne, weight coming back on & terrible night sweats.

After reading comments on this site & gaining knowledge I've bought Thyroid S & ditched Levo. I'm on day 12 now & feeling OK. I was only started on 25mcg of Levo then increased to 50mcg.

I now cut a thyroid s tablet in half & take it @ 5.30ish a.m. & then the other 1/2 around 2pm. I'm still varying the dosage slightly but if I take more it can some times make me a bit weary.

Just wondering how you all get on with it & when I next see my Endo in 6 months should I tell him I now use NDT?

To be honest, I haven't got a lot of faith in him or my GP. He's a wet lettuce & my GP hasn't got a clue about hypothyroidism.
