How to increase ferritin levels

Hi, can anyone please advise.

Ferritin serum 30 range is 10 to 291.

Iron 13.00 range is 10 to 33

I've suffered excessive hair loss from brows and lashes which is now effecting my hair line. Lashes grow back after Vitamin supplement. I have taking liquid iron for 9 months but Ferritin levels are still lagging behind.

All other iron tests are good.

How can I improve my ferritin quickly.

Many Thanks

Eating liver or liver pate once a week should help.

Asked you for results on your other post

Hello again slowdragen. I really don't like the taste of liver but I may try liver pate. I don't really understand as my iron level isn't to bad. If I keep up with iron will my ferritin increase with it as this result looks very low to me. I don't really see the benefit in taking iron supplement if my body isn't storing it properly. Doctors and consultants haven't been able to advise me on this. I'm sure theres a link between my ferritin levels and the hair loss. Once my vitamin D was in the high range of normal my eyelashes grew back. However nothing stops the hair from falling out when my T4 thyroid medicine is lowered.

Many Thanks

Well your thyroid hormones need to be correct. Why is T4 lowered?

What are your most recent blood test results and ranges for TSH, FT3 and FT4

Hi again, for anyone following the thread. Please refer to my other post "frontal fibous alopecia".

All blood results are on this and info on hair loss.
