Vaginal itch

Due to low thyroid, post menopause, I have vaginal dryness and sometimes I itch terribly! My doctor wanted to give me estrogen cream but I was reluctant to use due to Breast Cancer in my family! I’ve been using vulva harmony but I’m afraid I need something more powerful! What I’m asking is does anyone have a cure or should I go ahead with the estrogen due to the itch? Any help would be gratefully accepted! Thank you!

Have a google, but I didn’t think vaginal oestrogen cream adversely affected the rest of the body, unlike hrt.

I had DCIS but my private endo said that bioidentical hormones were fine. Vagifem (which the NHS can prescribe) is a bioidentical estradiol pessary.

What is DCIS and NHS

I looked it up and sounds great if they have it in the United States

Oh, are you not in the UK? In that case, post is irrelevant as you can probably get whatever you like prescribed. DCIS is first stage breast cancer.

I use vagifem; it helps with symptoms. The actual dose of oestrogen is negligible in the less art form. Thus, deemed safe.

Can I get it in the United States?

Sorry I'm not sure. Maybe you could ask a pharmacist to order or Google search?

By the way, my previous post... 'art form'???? Lol... should have said pessary form! And, I should have spell checked! Sorry.

Good luck.!
