Just got my three injections of vit B1+B6+B12 and now I can just wait if they work for this awful muscular fatigue. Hate this!

Ot: annoying to wait if Vit B injections work
Why only three ? - is that it ? Things often get worse before they get better with B12 😊 Do you have neurological symptoms ? Are there Guidelines in Finland ?
This is not normal injection for low B12 , this is for muscular fatigue and if one is going to get positive response it happens in a week after three injections and then injections are continued, it's more about the combo of this vits helping cells to use carbs as energy.
For low B12 and high homocysteine I will get injections anyway as my doctor reckon it's stupid to keep my on tablets as they get expensive and if I go off of B12 homocysteine increase way over range. So B12 will be continued just based on homocysteine. And my lovely doc agree to do B12 injections as often as needed!
Wow ! - let's hope they work for you soon. I self-inject B12 weekly and find it helpful 😊
I will be taught to self inject which scares me
I promise you it will be fine. Took me some time to acquire the nerve - so I sit on the side of my bed so my thigh is well supported almost up to the knee. Thrusting the needle into the outer part of the thigh is painless - keep the needle upright - not at an angle. Press the plunger down s-l-o-w-l-y so that it doesn't hurt. Some days better than others ! Just tired of depending on the kindness of others !
Yeah I will be taught so I can inject myself whenever necessary so I don't have to wait to get an appointment for someone to do it.
I am not afraid of needles nor possible pain , I was warned about these injections hurting a lot as it's 3 milliliters but I actually didn't feel much.
It just feels bizarre to do such a thing to yourself. But so many people all around the world does it so I think I can get used to it too.
Fortunately nurse will guide me at first.
So you do intramuscular as recommended? Many do subcutaneous as it's easier but I am not sure is it as effective as they say.
Yes IM. Diabetics have to inject - and sometimes more than once a day ! Am sure you will be fine !
Forgot to ask which forms of B12 and how much you are on?
The injection I got had 3.3 mg cyanocobalamin which us not the best but no other option, though for me it might work. Sublingual I take is methylocobalamin.
Cohemin that is just B12 is hydroxo if I remember it correct.
Hydroxocobalamin Phials - not sure of the amount without looking and I am out of stock at present !
Thanks! I guess you can't compare different forms.
Cohemin over here is 1 mg starting dose every day or every other day for a week to two. So basically it equals the amount of cyano I got 3.3 mg x3 in three days.
But on the other hand before testing pyruvate/lactate can't say is it B6+B1 that does the trick or B12 or all.
Will see, but had quite good day today which I hope is because the injection!
Meh didn't allow me to edit the message. My injection had 0.33 mg so relatively low dosage of B12 but that is secondary in my case anyway. That's why this can be injected more often and upkeep injections are 1-2 a week , only B6 has to be monitored or limited.
So can't compare to just B12.
