I'm so fed up of literally being stuck in the house due to low energy levels it drives me crazy at times I feel I let people down alot and have no friends and that noone understands or seems to believe me and that I just need to motivate. ..if it were that easy I'd do it lol

You're not alone :(

Do you have your test results yet? When you get them, make a new post (include the reference ranges as well as the result) and members will comment.

Completely understand and you are definitely not alone. Constantly being told to "Just push through," "'You'll be alright when you get going" and the awful "It's just anxiety."

As SeasideSusie says with test results there is help here.

I could have written the same thing. So fed up of it all. I never used to be in the house during daylight hours during summer. I was always outside doing something. Now I never leave the house. Last week the washer broke on the outside tap. I had to call my husband to help me find the right tool box because it wasn't where I thought it might be and I hadn't the energy to search. It nearly made me cry. I did fix the tap when the tools were found, but it felt like a major job, not a 5 minute task.

I'm like you FP. Love being outdoors, would love the abundant energy to go with it. Two particularly brilliant outdoor projects come to mind when working with offenders. I miss the energy to get properly 'stuck in'

πŸ™‚ Can't even vacuum without having to rest my feet & legs!

Yeah same I walked to the shop (2 mins away) nd it took my 20 mins I was so out of breath it does make me anxious as I think I'm going to collapse at times and I used to love going walking but now I havnt got the energy to get up and have a shower most days its so frustrating

At least when you get your results, the forum can help advise on any hormone treatment and/or vitamins & minerals to take.

I'm still working on getting the hormone treatment for me but have found my supplementing with vitamins & minerals to have made a huge difference. Have been taken aback with the difference they've made to my Hypo & Hashi symptoms. You will get & feel better, if I'm anything to go by.

I know how you feel Jaye. I still have days where I'm fed up with the lack of energy.....it used to be worse. Just get fed up with being fed up about it all 😊

I found last week I had some energy to decorate & powerhose my patio. I only had that short energy burst due to my period. Would love to bottle whatever hormone is responsible for that. In bed as we speak trying to get rid of the usual 'after period migraines'. Keep telling myself there is light at the end of my very long tunnel πŸ™‚ I hope you feel brighter soon.

Paula have you had all

Your hormones tested? Progesterone? Medichecks offer them.

If you get a burst of energy around tour period, that signals that surely there’s a hormonal imbalance? Might be worth looking into if you haven’t already xxx just an idea.

I had mine all checked, but they were all fine. X

Hi, how are you doing these days? πŸ™‚

Yes, your right, I think there's

a hormonal imbalance. Thanks for the Medichecks heads up, I'll check it out. I've a list of various tests to organise. I have a Blue Horizon Thyroid Plus11 test tomorrow. So as I'm in testing mode I'll organise the others too. I'm glad your tests came back ok.

Thanks Hun πŸ™‚

You mention migraines after periods I had that all last week and couldn't understand why as I'm not a headache sufferer but that now makes sense but on period times I dnt seem to have a energy boost that I've noticed I'll take more notice next time around lol

Periods have & still are the bane of my life. Always had migraine's either before during or after them. Roll on menopause πŸ˜‰

FancyPants54 profile image
FancyPants54β€’ in reply toPaula101

Don't say that! Menopause is the total and utter pits. It has destroyed my life and given me hypothyroidism to boot. HRT is a must but it still barely touches the surface.

Paula101 profile image
Paula101β€’ in reply toFancyPants54

Sorry FP. Must admit, I'm at the beginning of the menopause journey & need to get my hormone treatment, NDT or synthetic.

A year of periods going from 28 days to 34 days. The latest one having to wait 40 days for it to start & my body & mind did not enjoy that at all.

I do genuinely find it helpful & informative when ladies talk of menopause & their experiences. I'll be there myself in 10 years. I hope you are able to find something else to help along with your HRT.

I get migraines too, used to take migraleve tablets as I was getting the sickness with it (the aura) blooming awful. They don't work as well anymore now for some reason. I tie a old scarf tightly around my head to stop the blood flow thingy in the brain..tip from my old granny who used to suffer from them..πŸ€•πŸ€’. Put migraines down to stress never thought of the hormone levels..

I'll try the headscarf, surely can't feel any worse. The maternal women in my family have always suffered with migraine & difficult periods. I'm glad I have two boys. Thank you for the tip πŸ™‚

My migraines have always been hormonal. And Migraleve tablets were my go to saviour but like you, they don't work anymore. It has to be double strength Ibuprofen now.

My migraine is lifting as I've been lying down, think the circulation might also have improved. Feel I can manage a shower now. I hope the day improves for you ladies.

I know this is a really old post but I want to update my thyroid is normal and it turns out all of my problems revolve around endometriosis it has been a very long battle to figure out what was going on with my body I've had lots and I mean lots of tests mri scans ct scans ultrasound scans as my energy level is at a very all time low now but hormones and pain play a part of endometriosis and it is good at playing hide and seek lol I feel so much relief that I am finally on the right path to get my energy back I lost it 5 years ago and it's been hiding deep among my organs very weird to even imagine that. I wish you all good health and lots of little energy boosts I know exactly what it's like to be zapped out of fuel ❀

It took you 3 years to find out what was wrong? I am just adding this because it took me over 2 years to find out I had thyroid disease because my GP thought it was the menopause which actually didn't happen until 7 years later.
