Hi DIls, just a suggestion - I would edit this and change the title of your post to something like 'Help with test results' - you may get more responses this way. I've replied on your other post
Dils ~ while the evening primrose oil may be beneficial, I have some myself which I take occasionally, it is more important that you try to increase your thyroxine, maybe by 25mcg at a time. When you have hashimotos your levels can go up and down. Then the Dr looks at your results and changes your dose, but often, this is a mistake. We have this problem here also.
Please don't let anybody tell you that hypothyroidism is not a big deal!! It can make you feel VERY ill, especially when you are not on the correct dose of medication. Your body has been through a lot lately, and now you have also got hypothyroidism and not much support, by the sound of it.
I also got hashimotos after my 4th pregnancy, and I also had a c section, as they were twins, and both breech. It took me many months to lose the weight afterwards, and I had always lost it quickly before. It was because I was very ill, even though I had a healthy diet.
Until you get your hypothyroidism treated properly, the swelling and puffiness won't go down. Is there anyone to help you? Who told you to take the EPO? Is there any way you can get your vitamin levels tested? You may be low on vitamins with this type of illness.
Try and eat as much fish or meat if you are not vegetarian as you can. And fresh fruit and vegetables. Oh god, I feel so sorry for you, I want to send you a giant parcel of everything in the health shop!😔. Please don't give up ~ you will get well again but it will take time for the swelling and pain to go. I'm so sorry there is no one to support you, and please understand that when you are hypo it can make you feel very depressed and sad, especially when you've just had a baby. We do understand, and we are all here if you just want to chat, but it's difficult to help when you're so far way. 💕xx

Hello Dils ~ please don't try and do too many household chores when you don't have much energy, although I understand things need to get done. It's not your fault that you are feeling tired and sad, it's the low thyroid hormones that are to blame and it will get better.
Don't diet or restrict your food intake because of the weight gain, because you need the calories and healthy fats for your body to use. You are not overweight because of too much food, it is because your thyroid is not working properly ~ it will go when your medications get to the right level. This has to be done slowly, and it takes time. We all have this problem when our levels are too low.
I hope everything gets better for you very soon. If you feel like crying, that's ok, sometimes it's better to let out your sadness and frustrations ~ better than keeping it locked up inside. Remember you WILL get better and this feeling won't last forever ~ I hope you can believe this, and hang onto it.
Never lose hope and when you have had your thyroid hormone increased by 25mcg and had another blood test, post your results on this forum, and members will advise you. Try and relax and rest and don't worry about people saying you're not ill. They don't understand what you're going through. Take care of yourself and your baby. 💕xx
It just means take it alongside food, not actually on it. Take it with water at the same time as you have a meal, is what it means.
I hope you get to feel better soon. I know what you mean about having no energy for housework, I don’t even want to do mine luckily my husband is a dab hand with the housework so we share it. xx
Dils, you're worrying too much about the EPO ~ if it is a capsule of oil I think you just swallow with water ~ that's fine. I can't remember to be honest whether I took mine with food or not ~ it was a long time ago, but I don't think it matters that much, sometimes things are better with food, but just swallow it with water anyway, that's fine.
Sort out getting your thyroxine increased by 25mcg ~ this is more important for you. You must get GP to help and retest after each increase, then you can post on here, and we can try and give you advice. We also have the same problem about antidepressants ~ Drs try to give us tablets for depression when our thyroid hormone levels are too low ~ a universal problem, it seems😕.
I really do understand the pain, Dils ~ it is difficult sometimes to get through the day when you feel so bad. Try and think about things you like, and relax your mind as much as you can ~ I know this is very hard, but you must concentrate on getting better, and not listen to others who may not understand how ill you feel. You must avoid getting stressed, because it will not help.
Try to take things easy, and don't wear yourself out. I know there are always lots of jobs to do when you have a baby, and your baby needs you more than anyone else ~ but try and get as much pleasure from your baby as possible. Your body has been through a lot, but you have made a beautiful baby, and although you're still in pain you have to try and only think about good things for now.🌷
I had this problem with 2 babies and I know it is a very bad situation. I had a bit more support and I wish you had a family member or someone to help. It's easy to keep thinking negative thoughts when your body is not getting enough thyroid hormone ~ we all do this, and you can sometimes think that everything is hopeless, but it's not, that's just the effect it has on your body and brain. It WILL pass as you slowly recover, and I hope that recovery comes soon. Please take care ~ warmest wishes✨ xx
