I’ve had a “steady” ache at the back of my neck for months, recently it’s become quite intense
Just wondering if suffers with this ?
Hopefully my thyroid tests will be back tomorrow to help throw up some answers 🙄

Any member whose had the same or similar will respond. It would be a nuisance to have it for months, to say the least.
Hi yes I have a lot of pain in the back of my neck. Not sure if it's just posture related or thyroid but it is quite bad sometimes. I found some quite good exercises on you tube which help when I am disciplined with them.
This was one of the major symptoms I have before I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s.
At first I thought it was a gym injury, had physio and stopped the gym for 8 weeks. Nothing helped not even neck exercises or massages.
It got worse, my neck was so stiff especially at the back. The only relief I got was an ice pack.
However, since I’ve started Levothyroxine it’s disappeared so definitely Thyroid related and was a Hashimoto’s “flare up”.
Best wishes

Hi Annie Wiz,
Strange I should just see your post , as my husband has the exact same problem. The other night he couldn't move his head at all it was so painful. I had blood tests done and he is hypo but is very stubborn so as yet isn't on any medication .. I'm working on him ! I actually read not long ago but can't remember where, that pains around the back of the neck are thyroid related .
