Hi all, my new gp has mentioned Tirosint as an option but is waiting to hear what my endo suggests after my four weeks on branded levo, Eltroxin which has gone terribly wrong as ive said in a former post so gone back onto 150mcg levo. My question is anyone tried this product and how they felt, side effects ect. Any info would be appreciated.

I take Tirosit. It is a gel capsule with T4 and glycerin. I do well on it. I was allergic to something in Synthroid, probably the acacia. I’m in the US and it is very expensive here. Good luck with it.

Did you develop a rash on Synthroid or have other allergic type symptoms? I stopped absorbing it well so was wondering.

I found Tirosint had it's pluses & minuses. On the plus side it improved mood, reduced swelling, eliminated tension headaches & increased sleep. On the minus side I experienced marked fatigue, unwanted weight loss, developed gastrointestinal gas & dark shadows around my eyes.
