Well told to stop taking Methamizole until I go back in 2 weeks for a TSH since my last TSH was 5.6 and Methamizole is only prescribe for Graves, so I'm left to see what will happen until my next blood work... I'm also Diagnosed as having Hashimoto. Has there been some that go back to having Graves? Or stay Hypo? And of course would have to take some medication for that? Or is their some hope for a remission? I guess the waiting will show... I'm only taking high blood pressure pills but I believe I got that because I went Hypo, since I've never had that before. Thanks so much.
Does anyone know what my possibilities could be... - Thyroid UK
Does anyone know what my possibilities could be since I'm off Methamizole
Hi there even when i was hypo i was still taking carbimazole as i was told they dont swap the medication its a dose reduction you would take to raise your bloods up again-i too have hashis aswell and thought because im on carb they would change it but they do not.😨 now you are off your meds they will wait and see what happens next an wha symptons you have-i too am on tiation doses and within the next 4 months wll be coming off it to and hopefully some levo for the hashis?? Who knows.good luck.🌟🌟
I hope we be off any medication since it is terrible taking one set of pills that is for one thing and not helping the other when it creeps up on us and attacks our organs like high blood pressure and again the palpitations which I thought I'd wouldn't have to go through that again but started when I became Hypo. Rmichelle and now I'm without taking Methamizole so I'm praying Graves doesn't sneak up on me unexpectedly since I've noticed my weight has been steady, cause graves will make you lose weight quickly, as of now I weight 159 ish and noticed that since I had reached 165 being hypo I changed my diet and it helped I believe cause my weight went down to 159 ish, still get unexpected anxious feelings without a cause, it's as if your own body does it by itself cause I'm not thinking any negativity but I'm sure it's part of the hypo symptoms and I ride it out cause I don't want to take the Zolof as prescribe from my Medical Doctor, I believe that anxious anxiety feeling contribute to my high blood pressure all cause by Hypo. Isn't there a medication that is in between to handle and stay in the level for Hashimoto and graves besides one prescription for one of the above... lol would be very nice. I'm praying everything goes well for you also, and see where we end up with or maybe remission. Thanks for all your comments, it's very helpful as I feel it benefits us and others.
We can all help each other😊 i know how you feel and that anxiety feeling as you know is part of the disease with graves and hashis-but its nothing and it does not beat me -i tell myself it is not me it is the illness, ive never been a stressed or anxious person, its a false feeling its not real.😊😊. You will be ok and at the end of the day it will be whatever and we cant change that.xx
Yes I'm not one to have anxiety or anxious feeling and boy does it feel terrible cause at times you wanna curl up and scream.. but I don't give in... it's an ugly feeling that I start to pray to Jesus. I wouldn't want to use any mental medication for it. Today I've felt on top of the world as I've never been sick... just hoping it last forever and not have either Graves or Hashimoto pounce on me again.. lol xxxx
Thanks for your comment reallyfedup. I hope to kick this with the Hand of God😊This is a very bothering illness, and it disrupts daily living, if not managed on the levels as it should be. I would prefer not one at all, but gotta keep on living have kids that need me and hopefully soon there will be a cure for this, there are a lot of sufferers living with this, and it seems everyone I know has a Thyroid problem, it has become common now. I do believe it has a lot to do with lack of all nutritional vitamins and minerals and plenty of water... to much junk food caught up with us.. lol we are what we eat, and food for healing is medicine when you put in the right foods in the body. Thanks so much for your comment. Very helpful.
On my 2nd scan i had done the thyroid consultant sonographer said one will outdo the other and he said looking at my scan his bets will be on Hashis. 😊😊
I go for a sonogram on my Thyroid this Friday which was requested from my Medical Doctor and not the Specialist. Hope everything comes out alright. So you think Hashimoto is more prominent than graves as beating it as to staying with one of them?
Personally i dont know but the consultant radiogrspher did say there is alot of chronic hashi damage to my thyroid and thats when he made the remark but who knows really? Good luck for friday.😊
Thanks Rmichelle. I go to the Doctor so I can have my high blood pressure checked Friday also but in the Morning... I hope I don't get any anxious or anxiety cause it won't help me at all, I don't need for her to up my high blood pressure med. does yours go up even when medicated? This high blood pressure is new to me.
