So my doctor was sympathetic today when I presented by MediChecks results and has provided me with a 6wk prescription of Levo on 50mcg a day. When is best to take it, at night?
Also got blood tests scheduled on Wednesday for folate, B12, vit D, ferritin and coeliac.
Thank you again!

There is no general best time that suits everyone. Some prefer to take it on waking, some prefer bedtime, I take mine when I need a bathroom trip in the early hours of the morning. The important thing is to take it on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after food, with a glass of water only, no tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, etc. If you have your main meal at night and want to take your Levo at bedtime, make sure you leave 3 hours.
I can't take it at night, it kept me awake. I mean completely awake for a week before I caved in.
I hated getting up and not being able to make a hot drink for a whole hour. So I set my alarm for 6.30am. Get up, take the tablet with a full glass of water, go back to bed and sleep until I need to get up, usually about 2 hours later. Works well for me.
If I had to get up at 7am, I'd set my alarm for 5am.
Now that wouldn't work for me. My sleep is so poor that if I set my alarm to take it then I'd never get back off to sleep again. We're all different and have to experiment to see what suits us best.
Well, I think I might fall off a clothes line Susie! I'm scared of heights, and even the edge of the bed. I keep well away from the edge. Not helped that it's a high bed and I once watched my poor husband fall out of it. I had broken my arm and we swapped sides so that I had somewhere to put the broken arm where it wouldn't roll off the edge. We lay there talking one night, just dozing off. He rolled over to what his brain told him was the middle of the bed and straight off the edge. There was such a cuffuffle and bump. I laughed (he was OK) but it put me off the edge even more!
