Hi everyone! I got my results back from my cortisol saliva and dhea test!

I completed the first test at 8.30 and accidentally fell asleep for 2 hours after and then continue to do my second test at 12.30pm

I don’t know if napping changes the results il post a pic of my graph and details of my results. If anyone can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m really struggling with fatigue and my sleep is very poor I can sleep for an hour or two max and then I am wide awake tired but wired! Thank u in advance for your advice!

Happy day to all! :)

Cortisol

morning 4.5 range 18-35.

(Napped two hours by accident)

Noon 7.2 range 6.12

Evening 4.4 range 2.5

Night 2.5 range 1.4

Sample 1 is way too low, Sample 2 is too low, Sample 3 a bit high, Sample 4 should be at the bottom of the green band. DHEA is very high.

Stop the Thyroid Madness article, where cortisol levels should be stopthethyroidmadness.com/l...

24-HOUR CORTISOL SALIVA–here are the consistent results of people who do not have an adrenal problem:

8 am: at the tip top part of the range (so if top of range is 9.5, people are right there, maybe even 9.4)

11 am-noon: in the upper quarter (though not at the very top of provided range)

4-5 pm: right “around” mid-range

11 pm to midnight: at the very bottom (Literally. So if range is 1-4, people are at 1, not even 2)

RT3 Adrenals article on results which agrees with STTM rt3-adrenals.org/cortisol_t...

Example 1

Optimal levels

• Morning at the top of the range

• Noon approximately 75% of the range

• Evening close to 50% of the range

• Nighttime at the bottom of the range

My cortisol results came back with all samples at the very bottom of the blue band, almost in a staight line. Obviously I had been on the adaptogens for too long without retesting and it had reduced my original high in range cortisol way too much. I am now supplementing with something difflerent to raise it and will remember to retest this time!

I don't know enough about adrenals to know why they get out of whack or what's best to treat them when the results are a bit like a roller coaster. It's easier if they're all high or all low. And DHEA again complicates things.

There are "adaptogenic herbs" which are meant to balance cortisol, but as that was what I was taking all three in the supplement, when looked into, lower cortisol and that's what seemed to happen to me - in abundance!

Ahh I see. When I napped after the first test was done do u think that would have effected 2,3and4 samples. Tbh I don’t know much about cortisol or dhea or what I could supplements to take to be able to change the levels. I was hoping to find some advice on here about it.

I looked int adrenavive and metavive as supplements progesterone cream to see if they could help other than that I have a lot of studying readin to try and do.

Do you know what u have to do to optimise your own levels?

I don't honestly know if napping would affect the results. But as you are supposed to do the test on what is a normal day for you, if you nap then you nap, the results are indicating your status at present.

Adrenavive is what I am taking to increase my current low level. It's a glandular, not an adaptogenic herb.

You have one low, one very low, and two that are too high. You could look into adaptogenic herbs but research carefully and if you do start to supplement then don't do what I did and not retest, I would retest after 3 months and see how things are going.

I would also look into high DHEA, it's not mentioned in Dr Myhill's article and I have no idea about that, mine was, and probably still is, low.

Metavive is a thyroid glandular and would be used as you would use NDT for hypothyroidism.

I don’t normally nap during day.. but I am never up at 8.30 and that caused me to crash out.

Adaptogenic herbs? Okies I haven’t heard of them before but. I will read and look it up. Thank u!

It’s a mind field isn’t it! I also done a hair mineral test and was low on all minerals🙈 sometimes find it so overwhelming howto get back to health.
