Hi I am 33 years old. I have hypothyroidism diagnosed 2011. I feel very unwell. My symptoms are constipation, trapped wind, bloating, dry skin all over face and hands, heavy periods, muscle cramps, fatigue, tiredness, muscle weakness, low mood, depression, brain fog, sweats, anxiety, feeling cold, weight gain, splitting nails, puffy eyes, difficulty swallowing. My GP said T3 would help me because my FT3 is down the bottom when FT4 is high in range, current endocrinologist said it would not. I would be grateful for advice, I take 100mcg Levo thank you

Thank you I have not felt well enough to challenge the endo since this happened, all I could do was be angry so I left a voicemail with his clinic. He got back to me in 3 days by leaving a voicemail on my mobile but I have not felt up to listening to it in case of what I hear
Give your GP a kiss and your endo a kick in the watsits. There is a list of more helpful doctors obtainable via thyroiduk website.
It does look on the whole that your hormones tsh t4 and t3 indicated undermedicated. Your T4 is lowish. When we have converstion issues the t4 is often top and T3 bottom. But your T4 I would say still low so romm to increase T4 and reduce TSH which is barely in range. YOu can go a lot higher that 100mch levo and if endo is suggestingan increase of levo dont kick him too hard and go with it for now. It can be a long and winding rd to get better.
No Ally. NO good endos in bristol I am afraid. I am aware as bristolian myself. YOu will have to travel but often they will see youonce and then do phone consultations ever 6 months.
Hi Mandyjane. I see from a previous post that you may have info about Endo's (In the south west ....or elsewhere!) that actually might be a bit sympathetic and not TSH obsessed. Happy to go private as I am getting that desperate. Are you able to direct message me any info you have? I realise I am being really cheeky. But equally I am interested to see someone who understands that Levo isn't a miracle cure for everyone. fingers crossed.

Endo has given me T3.. What do I need to know?
Increase needed but do I increase T4 or T3?
Please help I had my T3 taken away and endo is saying I have general anxiety disorder (advised to repost)
