Hashimotos and Lyme

Hi everyone,

I have been ill for 10 years. I Have thyroid anti bodies but TSH has always been 'in range' so GP and endo refuse to medicate. T3 was on the lower side when it was last tested.

I have also tested positive for Lyme privately at Breakspear after two negatives and positive elsewhere. They have cost a lot of money with tests and supplements. I take a thyroid support supplement and have been told that I have subclinical hypothyroidism yet they will not take the thyroid into consideration when discussing treatment. Their treatment plan for Lyme is ridiculously expensive and I feel that a lot of my symptoms could be thyroid rather than Lyme.

Anyway, what I'm looking for is a Dr that is good at looking at the whole picture. Ideally that is Lyme literate and is willing to medicate someone who is 'in range' but has sypmtoms. Maybe has knowledge of LDN and is in the UK.

I feel I should mention that I am severely depressed and anxious. I have considered suicide. I really am at the end of my tether and don't know where to turn or what to do.

I realise people cannot recommend Dr's directly on here so please PM me names or post on here if you have any advice, experiences or recommendations. I would be extremely grateful for any help.

Your symptoms could indicate that you need thyroxine. Do you know your blood test results? I hope you find a doctor or endo who will treat you.
