My wife has just been told by her endo consultant that she will only be given 1 months supply of T3 then she has to source it herself from abroad! NHS rules apparently!!
Informed that it can be obtained from Germany, Austria and a few other countries including America, I have tried the Rxcart site but they require payment in Bitcoins? which I know nothing about duh.
My wife is on T4 50 mcg and T3 20mcg, bone and heart scans recently were fine.
Any sources of T3 please or advice welcome.

I've sent you a PM. The recent consultation said an endocrinologist can prescribe it. There is no rule that we have to buy it abroad. That's just what we end up doing out of desperation.
If she saw him as a private endocrinologist then they should give her a private prescription to enable her to get from Germany
It's is completely unacceptable to say she needs it but not provide either an NHS prescription or a private prescription that enables purchase from a legitimate European pharmacy
Professor Antony Toft recent article saying, T3 may be necessary for many otherwise we need high FT4 and suppressed TSH in order to have high enough FT3.
When my endo did that for 10 months under ccg pressure he gave me 3 monthly prescriptions on a private prescription that I easily got filled in France. Ask him to work with you by doing this until you apply enough pressure for ccg to change the ban. Mine have been reinstated on nhs so it can be done just takes a bit of a fight x
