Has any ladies out there tried Testosterone added to HRT?

My ( Gynaecologist ) GP has asked me if I would like to try some Testosterone added to my HRT as My Testosterone is quite low and under range ,

I have seen only a few articles on this, Jane Fonda being one of them ! She was saying it made her hair better and more energy and it was amazing etc etc: but I doubt she has Hypothyroidism

AS I do not trust everything the media print I would like to know if any of you lovely Ladies has tried a small add of Testosterone to HRT

What dosage and brands you have tried ? as like me you are probably Hypotthyroid as well I think by asking all you Ladies I will get much more honest advice than searching the net, which does get mixed up with companies selling own product for own profit so not a good way to tell me if they are genuinely good for me .

I would love to here if when you added Testosterone if you had a really good experience or was it bad and have bad side affects..

Any advice is appreciated and Thank you to those who answer me :)

I'm out all morning so will answer everyone later on :)

I was originally prescribed it along with oestrogen and progesterone, but it gave me real 'roid rage, so I changed to DHEA and all good. Compounded, not a brand.

That's just me. They did say that most women do very well on it and keep trying to get me to try again.

I tried componded testosterone transdermal cream but had to stop because, like Angel_of_the_North, all it made me was angry.

I should try DHEA since I would like to get my energy and drive back.

I am on BHRT and compounded testosterone is part of my daily mix. It gave me better muscle tone and strength and no issues with (unprovoked) rage of any sort...

Thats a positive and sounds good, I suppose we all react different to things If I don't try it I will never know,

I am quite sensitive to drugs I always have been, I think its in my genes

Is BHRT in the UK ?

You can get it through Marion Gluck Clinic in London and Haarpal clinic as well but there are other places as well if you search for functional medicine clinics and BHRT.

Technically BHRT is not drugs but natural bioidentical hormone replacement so you might be less sensitive to these than to synthetic drugs but everybody is different.
