Had a very uncomfortable Hashi Flare about 6pm tonight. Tight throat, thyroid gland feeling swollen, uncomfortable to swallow, deep tiredness, nauseous.
Sometime after took my evening dose of Magnesium Glycinate & it's actually helped to calm symptoms. That was a welcome surprise 🙂

Thanks, Paula. I've been having those symptoms for weeks, along with lots of joint and muscular pain. Have had some blood tests at the GP and have been called back. The nausea for me is the most worrying thing: I'd put the rest down to Hashi's, so it's interesting to learn that that too can be accounted for with our wonderfully versatile condition! Will check out the glycinate. ☺
Your welcome DandyThyro 🙂I can recommend Better You Magnesium Oil & their gel for joint & muscular pain. I apply it on a daily basis. Remember get your results off your GP, (you are legally entitled to these under the data protection act & get them printed off as mistakes can made if given verbally) post them on this forum (with their ranges) & people can advise you. The Glycinate also supports cardiometabolic, neurocognitive & musculoskeletal health. Good luck at the doc's 👍🏻
I got mine from Amazon. It's Pure Encapsulations Glycinate. It's gluten free, non GMO. Ingredients listed as:- vegetable capsule (cellulose, water) ascorbyl palmitate. My body appears to be happy with them thus far.
Sorry, yes, I got the Glycinate from Amazon. I do take take B12, in a spray by Better You (as I'm Hashi's with leaky gut) along with B complex by Thorne, to balance all the B's. I'm on all sorts but feeling much better for it.
I don’t know yet as I rang up and of course they (reception) won’t tell me . Will ask her tomorrow ?
I’ve asked for full access to my notes so hopefully once I get that I can see all my results .
Will see what gp says tomorrow ( I have a phone call consultation !!) whenever she’s free . If she doesn’t recommend anything I will start with b complex aswell
Ok then. It's best the receptionist doesn't tell you over the phone as she's likely to make a mistake. Yes, a paper copy is wise as you can't argue with black & white. Post them & then we can see what you need to do. Good luck with the GP 👍🏻
Sorry I know it's late but if your results show low folate then you'll need a b complex with 400 mcg folate. But as I say, see what results reveal first.
