Is Tirosint available in UK?

Hi there,

I'm really struggling (been off thyroxine for a year due to side effects) and nothing seems to work for me. I did try Tirosint a few years ago without my dr's knowledge and felt so much better, but I couldn't continue due to price.

Do you know if this can be supplied on a named patient basis like Armour in the UK?

No, not available in the UK - it is available in a number of European countries such as Italy and Netherlands.

I do not know of any sources in Europe - and it might be difficult to impossible without a prescription.

Technically, it would be possible to get a UK pharmacy to supply but you might have to jump through some hoops to get there.
