Welcome to the forum, Yasu1234.

Why aren't you taking Levothyroxine? There are no home remedies. You need thyroid replacement hormone.

It’s because it didn’t suit me lots of side effects so I stop it and carry on with vitamins etc is there anything to use please

Yasu1234,

Can you post your most recent thyroid results and ranges and say whether or not you were taking Levothyroxine when you had the blood test.?

I didn’t take levothyroxine when I had the blood test and my recent results and ranges are:

TSH level: 14.42

Serum free T4 level: 11.2

Serum ferritin: 54

Yasu1234,

You need thyroid replacement as TSH 14.42 is overtly hypothyroid.

There are 4 makes of Levothyroxine available in the UK and they are listed in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/treatm... Tell your pharmacist which make you were taking and ask for a different make to be dispensed.

Your results show you should be taking Thyroid medication. You say it doesn't agree with you. In what way? It could be that you were on the wrong dose for you are you are allergic to the fillers or unknowingly you were taking other tablets too close to when you took your thyroid meds so it wasn't working well. What I am trying to say is that it might not be the medication but something you were also doing at the same time. Did your doctor start you on a low dose and then ask you to go back for more testing after 6-8 weeks? And if he did were you asked to increase you dose. If you have any earlier results that might help as well.

Not what you're looking for?
