Selenium

I used to see a nutritionist and I remember she told me that selenium shouldn’t be taken for a long period of time. Unfortunately I didn’t think to ask her when it becomes unsafe. Any advice regarding this? My husband is taking 200mcg a day to help to reduce his antibodies.

I’ve heard this before as well. I just started extra supplementing and wondering about this too.

I have been supplementing for a year myself but doing a break now just in case. No idea what is the right approach.

A lot of people followed this post but we didn’t get any informative responses so far. I guess the best way to assess how much selenium is needed is to check its level. Not sure if blood tests are accurate and I read a lot of controversial stuff about hair tests although I had it done twice myself. Any thoughts?
