This is nutty, you have magnesium in every cell in your body including your bones and circulating in your blood. I'd stop taking the allergy test.

Christinah61,

If you have symptoms of this alleged magnesium allergy stop supplementing and see whether symptoms improve.

Have you been supplementing with Magnesium?

Magnesium allergy can occur from magnesium supplements and not from natural magnesium found in food. It could also be that you have been taking too much magnesium at once, or the type of magnesium that you've been taking is not suitable for you.

You need to speak with your doctor. If you are supplementing, you'll be advised to stop supplementation and then retest after 3 months. Then based on the results, you'll decide to perhaps change the form of the magnesium and then to start on smaller doses.

Hi Christinah61 so many of us take magnesium..it would be helpful to know about your reaction. What happened? What brand and dosage were you taking? What allergy test was performed? Thanks and good luck...

It is more likely to be something mixed in the the Magnesium so may be look into what else is in it and avoid similar ones. There is also a Magnesium group on facebook. I don't know much about it but mightcwexworth seeing if they know of this and what they suggest.
