Scary episode this afternoon !

Out of the blue the tip of my tongue went numb followed by my right hand , frozen but tingling , then my mouth and cheek again on the right side went numb . It was as if I'd had several injections at the dentist . It felt swollen , but wasn't .

I thought I was going to have a mini stroke . All I could think of to do was to take a couple of b12 tablets and it gradually wore off .

Any ideas folks ? Pp

Next time it happens dial 111 or 999, whichever you think is appropriate. It may well be a low vitamin or mineral problem, but there is also a possibility it could be a heart attack, so you shouldn't ignore it.

Is it a coincidence that it seemed to go with the b12 ? Pp

PinkPeony,

I would phone your GP to discuss it in case it was a TIA.

Thanks Clutter .I've had nothing like it before . I thought could it be that it's six weeks since I had an injection . It only lasted about 30 mins . Pp

You really should call your GP today as it does sound like a TIA.
