Calcium supplements should only be taken if absolutely needed as levels must be kept within a tight range. Your level is within the range so you don't have a deficiency. The vitd and eating calcium rich foods will help maintain levels and are better than risking to much calcium by supplementing.

VitD improves the uptake of calcium from foods - so extra is not needed. Are you taking the important co-factors with D3 ?? What was your VitD result ? - are you taking enough ?

Hi Marz, thanks for your immediate response. My vitamin D result was 49.9ng/ml (range 20-100) on 9/1/2018. This happened after taking 50000for 8 weeks. Before the loaded dose it was 9.2ng/ml. Now after seeing the result of January 9, 2018 she ordered 1000iu per day. After two months i will check the level.

OK - so you are almost there and 1000 IU;s daily may just do it ! - I would be include to increase to around 2000 :-) Are you taking the important co-factors as mentioned in my reply above ??

Sadly Docs are not up to speed. Reading the posts on this Forum will tell you loads of important things that Docs do not know :-) You need to be taking VitK2-MK7 and Magnesium .... Have you found the SEARCH THYROID UK facility here ? - where you can find answers to so much :-)

Also the main website to this Forum - see link below.
