Looking for the best Natural pigs thyroid meds.

I have tried ALL the synthetic thyroid meds with awful results. I tried Armour and saw little change. I have been on Thiroyd 1gr. from Greater PharmaThailand for three years with good results. I ran out of the tabs and have just tried Thyroid S....with bad results of depression (and this on 1/4 grain).

I have the odd problem of one side of my thyroid being atrophied and the other enflamed! So I vacillate between hypo and hyper.....! A real nightmare.

Can anyone tell me how I can get hold of NatureThyroid to give it a try. I live in South Africa and have previously bought from Thailand, but our postal system is defunct and no longer reliable....so that option is out. Help please!

Why were you only taking 1/4 grain of Thyroid-S? I thought you had been taking 1 grain of Thiroyd previously?

Hi Kell-E....I had been taking 1grain Thiroyd until I realized I had an inflamed thyroid on the one side. It then occurred to me that I was increasing the problem of too much thyroxin entering my body, but adding the tablet to the mix.

I then weaned myself off the tablets altogether for two years (and never felt better!). Now I can feel that my bowel movements and fatigue are telling me it is time to go back on the thyroid tablets...so I started taking a minute amount every two weeks. I am now down to taking a slither of the tablets every second day. If I take more of the tablet I start feeling restless and anxious....so I am trying to listen to what my body is telling me.

thyroid s does not agree with me either. I will pm where you can get nature thyroid but there have been supply issues recently so not sure if available.

Welcome to our forum. You have not given any thyroid history in your profile, i.e. when diagnosed, with what, and what dose you have taken previously. I assume you began with levothyroxine and moved onto NDT.

What dose of levo did you take? Did you add NDT to levo. or switch to NDT alone?

Is the SA postal system unusable now? 😟 Your only option - apart from travelling to a different country - is to obtain a prescription from a doctor at home and hope that a pharmacist can import or otherwise obtain one of the US brands of DTH, or Erfa, the Canadian brand.

I get Nature Throid from <online source>. Worth a try but not sure if post from USA will be better. Hope so! janveron1 xxx
