Hi all,

Wondered if you could help? I've been on Cynomel 12.5mg for over a week now and today I've called in sick to work because I feel absolutely dreadful, flu like symptoms awful headache, dizzy all day and zapped of any energy I did have, I currently take 75mg of levo as well. My Endo prescribed T3 to help as don't think I'm converting very well. I havnt taken the T3 today just in case it is that that's making me feel like this. Has anybody felt like this with Cynomel? I'm actually thinking of coming of this all together as Ive felt awful since being on thyroid medication and I've put 2 stone on as well😔 any advice or experience would be great thank you xx

Well, you could actually be sick. Or the additional Cynomel may have dropped your TSH, worsening your conversion. In which case you may need a bit more T3 and less levo.

Cmoor,

Have you felt unwell since you switched from UK T3 to Cynomel?

Hi, yes I had a trial 2 weeks of UK t3 10mg and I felt great so endo put me on Cynomel 25mg and I cut it in half as cheaper apparently.

So do you think I should reduce my Levo for 75 to 50mg?

Kind regards

Clare

CMoor,

No, I want to know whether you felt unwell when you switched from UK T3 to Cynomel? If not, you may have a bug which is nothing to do with Cynomel.

Yes, I felt great on UK T3 but I've been on Cynomel for over a week and today feel awful. I don't feel sick just bodyache and headaches.

To see if you have a reaction to fillers/binders in Cynomel, try taking an anti-histamine tablet an hour before your next dose. If you don't have a reaction, you'd have to change cynomel as it could be fillers/binders affecting you.
