Got my blood test results back. I've been feeling overly anxious and heart palpitations. I've been put on beta blockers and citalopram. My blood test results are tsh 0.46 and free t4 19.5 all within normal range

Thyroid blood test
You presumably mean FT4 not FT3
Essential to test thyroid antibodies and vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
See if you can get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP. Unlikely to get FT3
Private tests are available

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)

In a previous post you were considering taking iodine. If you have high thyroid antibodies (Hashimoto's) then iodine not a good idea

Iodine is extremely controversial
Do you have the ranges for these two results, i.e. the figures are in brackets after the result. However, a FT3 of 19.5 I doubt is 'normal'. I have copied the following:-
FT3 = FREE T3
T4 converts to T3 and is the only thyroid hormone actually used by the body's cells.
The approx. reference range for Free T3 is 4 to 8.3
Sorry I've edited my post. It should've said free t4
Thanks. As SlowDragon advises it would be advisable to get more tests. I shall give you a list of clinical symptoms and interpretation.
Iweezie, do you know what ranges were used for the tests ?
FT4 looks to be within range, but above halfway. The top of the range is typically somewhere between 22 and 24. If you have a second set of tests, it will be interesting to compare them. To do this, you need to know the ranges, since different labs may use different ranges.
