btw i thought about the idea of going shipping it from steroid websites or going to another country that sells over the country but the bigger problem is the amount of money that those options cost and i can't afford the shipping or the travel especially since the euro or dollar is like x3 the Dinar of my country...

Welcome to the forum, Iheb.

Members are more inclined to share sources with new members who include some background about their illness such as how long they’ve been diagnosed, recent thyroid results and ranges, and current thyroid medication.

T3 is prescription only usually in France but occasionally a pharmacy may sell it without prescription.

ok so my story began 4 years ago after a depressive bout of 1 year there have been alot of changes with my body (all the symptoms of hypothyroid) but i was kinda ignorant didnt know what was a ''thyroid'' so i thought it just needed to lose some weight eat better train more and my mental and physical energy will just improve but i was wrong workouts actually made me worse (disrupted sleep at night and cognitive decline and severe soreness that last many days more than they should) and the quality of the day is reduced too i can't study nor go out due to fatigue so after a period of time i took enough from the natural changes that i wanted to make and i still didnt know what thyroid was when i searched the net i found something called ''chronic fatigue'' i thought i had that then i went to an endcrino after i contacted my uncle who's a doctor and told me that your problem might be thyroid , anyway the first one gave me a TSH among many others like prolactin carnitine testosterone etc... to go check in lab and the results came out to be almost all normal beside TSH and prolactin he prescribed to me T4 + prolactin medication i took both but noticed only slightly better sleep and thats it no digestive improvements or energy levels or teperature of the body i droped this guy since after talking to him again he refused to give T3 to me.

second time i went to another endocronolgist who's very known they told me hes the best anyway this guy from the whole beginning turned me down on t3 and persisted that my problem can be solved with T4 only.... and that i am not waiting enough even tho i took the medication for more than 5 months he told me people can take even 2 years to see improvements and thats why i sweared to never waste my money on doctors who make you come and go to pay visists and they dont even want to describe things like t3 for whatever reason i dont really know to be honest

iheb,

You've expressed yourself well but you've not included any TSH, FT4 or FT3 results and ranges. If your FT3 is high in range doctors won't prescribe it as it will go too high.

Are you able to order your own labs?

If you are going to self-medicate, particularly with T3, you need to ensure your FT3 remains within range because long term overmedication can increase the risks of developing atrial fibrillation and osteoporosis.

hi and sorry i was busy today but i received a bad news unfortuntly from my sister in france after her visting 3 pharmacy's and turned down since she has no prescription and even one doctor laughed xD and told her its an international thing in all countries not just france anyway as for my TSH , FT4 , FT3 i chhecek my lab test and found only TSH 4.36 (other than TSh there is hemoglobin and many other stuff that i dont know whats their relationship with thyroid) but they took a scans of my thyroid and found out its totally normal the doctor said

as for the self medication part i count on checking the lab my own self and couting on the people in the forums since they know pretty much well and Care much more than the doctors i swear !

(again thx to you guys who sent me messages and you too clutter)

iheb,

If you are taking Levothyroxine you are undermedicated to have TSH 4.36. You should be aiming for TSH 0.2 - 1.0. When you start selfmedicating quarter the 25mcg T3 tablet into 6.25mcg doses. You can take 6.25mcg with your Levothyroxine. Have a thyroid test including FT3 after 6-8 weeks.

Not what you're looking for?
