The vitamin D Council has lots of good information. Generally it's thought a level of around 100nmol or mid-range is good.

Just be aware that GP's often prescribe too little VitD to make a difference. So do you have your results for VitD ? If so post here and members can suggest a reasonable dose :-)

Taking at least 3000 IU's could be helpful in increasing levels. It is fat soluble so look out for a capsule containing Olive Oil or take with the fattiest meal. If you have absorption issues then an under the tongue spray would be good - some contain VitK2-MK7 as well :-) I take Healthy Origins from Amazon - 5000 IU's ....

What brand is it? Is it a tablet or a capsule or a softgel? What does the label say for ingredients?

Vit D Council recommends a level of 100-150nmol/L or 40-60ng/ml depending on what unit of measurement your test has.
