Hi all my GP took bloods on Friday for my TSH it has dropped from 0.11 to 0.08 (.2-4) she is insisting on dropping me from 125mcg to 100mcg.
I took the bloods early in the morning fasting and without taking my Levo which I don't normally. Then it clicked I have been taking some B vitamins containing biotin. Has this affected my result?
I've ordered a private test for TSH t4 and t3 so should I stop my B vitamin supplements beforehand? I got a sublingual liquid that doesn't list Biotin would this affect the result too?
Sorry for all the questions I'm just desperate to feel better.

Taking Biotin may have affected the result, it depends whether Biotin is used in the testing, sometimes it is. To be on the safe side, leave off Biotin or a B Complex containing it for a few days before testing. Does your liquid list B7, that is Biotin.
The new one I got contains B2, B3 B5 B6 AND B12. So that should be ok. Unfortunately last week I was taking the other in tablet for and biotin was listed.
Thanks. I've been practically living at the Dr's the last couple of months. She absolutely refuses to believe me telling her that TSH is not giving us an accurate picture. She refuses any other tests.
I had a full blood count done. Everything was in range though nothing over the middle of the range. She also refused to supplement to get my ranges higher apart from my standard Vit d of 800IU which I've been on for a couple of years. I've started taking two if these now to try and raise the levels
I also got a Vitamin B complex to help boost my B12.
VIT D 94 (75-250)
B12 531(211-911)
Serum folate 13.7 (5.4-24)
I'm also taking iron 14mg with vitamin c 60mg hoping for a little boost there.
I generally lack energy, tire really quickly and can't seem to lose weight eating low carb helps me maintain but i dont lose. I've been gluten free for around 10 days now and I'm feeling better for that. I suffered bloating and often diarroeah but that seems to have cleared up with losing the gluten. I don't have coelics, the Dr did test for that!
I ordered some private meds for T3 and T4. Still waiting for that to arrive.
