Hashimotos and Ceoliac

How many people with Hashimotos have been tested for Ceoliac disease . On the Ceoliac UK site it says under NICE guidelines people with autoimmune thyroid disease should be tested. On the site they have an assessment you can take.

I don't think many members are tested for Coeliac Disease as a matter of course when they are positive for Hashimoto's and other autoimmune diseases. I wasn't tested until 2 years after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's as endo wanted to rule out Coeliac rather than Levothyroxine causing persistent diarrhoea. Coeliac screen was negative and diarrhoea gradually improved after I was optimally dosed.

I went to see a private Endo shortly after diagnosis and this was one of the tests he insisted upon along with a host of other ones - parathyroid gland, bone density etc
