What about using the same butter as is used by gluten eaters when you are gluten free?

Gluten free what about butter?
Have separate butter dish
Separate toaster too and make sure not to use same cutting board etc
You need to be as careful as if you were coeliac
Hi there i had this problem when my hubby made a sandwich, dipping his knife in and then putting it back in- buy your own butter or take some out and put it in a seperate container, thats all you can do, also be careful when other people have cut cheese with the same bread knife, i have seperate everything and saucepan and cooking tray.😊
Oh my goodness. I have not been nearly careful enough by the sound of things. So when we GF people eat in restaurants, how can we be sure that the staff have taken adequate care on our behalf ?
You dont know, you have to be asking questions aswell, such as a seperate oven space, seperate preparing area, cross contamination is rife if staff are not fully trained on it, you are putting your trust in people and so far i only eat at one restaurant when im out as i know the chef and staff there.i am celiac so have to be gf and soya free. Eating out is a nightmare.😊
Thanks for the info. I am not celiac but Hashis so am trying to be GF (and also soya cos it doesnt agree with me) but my husband likes going out a lot to eat and I think I have been glutened twice last week...just wondering, if you get glutened, does it affect your blood pressure? I dont think staff are properly trained, they can't be. What a nightmare. Do you have any remedies if you accidentally eat any g ?
I am also hashis aswell with thyroid disease, dont know whether it affects blood pressure but you could always put out a post asking, with me its tummy pain if i have been glutened.
Iif you are glutened i thibk you just have to sit it out, i think eating out is very difficult as you have to put your trust in people and the more you eat out the more chances of cross contamination, we used to eat out quite often and when we do it can be a ordeal. X
