My recent bloods were very good but I’d like to fine tune to slighter lower FT4 and slightly raise FT3 ...At present I’m taking 100mcg Thyroxine And 6.25mcg Liothyronine ( T3) I’m wondering if lowering Thyroxine to 75mcg and upping T3 to 12.5mcg would do this.
TSH 0.7 ( 0.27-4.20)
FT4 21 (12-22)
FT3 5.5 ( 3.1-6.8 )
What about vitamin levels. I see you are on B12 injections. Do you also take good B complex? Or Folate
Have you had vitamin D and ferritin tested?
Magnesium is often low when we are gluten intolerant too
No I’m not on B12 injections, but my Folate came back low and Homosteine was raised so am taking Methyl folguard with B12 as I have defective Gene MTFR..so normal folic acid not absorbed. Gluten intolerance due to Crohns. Not sure if magnesium low...but it is included in the B6 tabs I take.
It might well do so as 12.5ncg if T3 is equal to around 50mcg of T4. If your pulse or temp rises too high reduce T3 to 1/4 tablet for two weeks and if you are still symptomatic add another 1/4 T3.
I am not medically qualified but have done the rounds of various thyroid hormones and doses.
