I've just been changed from mercury pharma the north star levo and it's sent my heart racing.
Has anyone else experienced this?
So annoying as i thought my t4 t3 combo was working fine before the t4 brand change.

North Star Levothyroxine,
I’ve no input as I’ve never heard of this brand. But I googled it and this might help: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Hope that helps. You can put in a yellow card and request MP as the brand that works for you. For next time.
Take it back to Pharmacist and ask for previous brand
It's common to find different brands don't work the same.
North Star is actavis.
Thanks. It is activis but there's no leaflet in there. My heart's calmed down a bit so I'll see how it goes today.
Does anyone know why they would change the brand? The pharmcy is at my GP surgery so it's only small, not a big chain.
Greentrees1,
You have the right to get a PIL with every prescription. Unless you received a partial box, I cannot think why you wouldn't have received one. (I suppose someone might have snaffled it for another patient...)

Every pharmacy has arrangements with distributors - I guess yours has one with AAH.
Hi
It’s due to supply and most surgeries ( mine included) swap to cheaper brands all the time to save costs.
Thanks. I usually get a PIL with my meds. I'll speak to the surgery about that.
I feel anxious now but that might be my heart rate. I just feel a bit 'different' but I wasn't initially concerned about the change in brand.
