I’ve been on 75 mcg thyroxine for last 5 weeks my blood results are
Tsh 2.6 (0.35-5)
T4 16.1 (9-24)
T3 5.7 (3.5-6.5)
My tsh has risen from 2.16 to 2.6 my endo has now increased dose to 100 mcg.
Any ideas why it would rise?

Flo-jo-100,
Well, yes, it's because 75mcg wasn't enough!
TSH is a pituitary hormone. When the pituitary detects that T4 and T3 are low it pumps out TSH to stimulate the thyroid to produce more T4 and T3 hormone. When pituitary detects sufficient T4 and T3 levels it shuts off TSH.
The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.35 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...
