So long story short I was told for years I have a thyroid issue because the antibodies are really high but now I am being told there is nothing wrong with my thyroid. The doctor got my to do another blood test though just in case
Vitamin b12 is 368. Range is >150
The only thing low was the vitamin D at 36 range 50-150
So I just brought supplements for that
I have a heap my symptoms though so have no idea what could be causing it now... does everyone think my thyroid is fine with these levels but just having high antibodies?

Go back to the gp. I have been suffering for years. It’s only when I went to another gp who said he was not very happy with my thyroid that I was referred. Had an ultrasound scan and they found 7 nodules and I am hyper. Put on carbimazole low dose 3 weeks ago and all my weird symptoms have gone. 1st gp still doesn’t agree as he said I was borderline for years. In future, I will always ask for a second opinion.
Sorry just read your previous post and found the anti-body results !
How much VitD are you taking and how ?
B12 needs to be around/over 500 so that needs supplementing too. Jarrow Methylcobalamin from Amazon 5000 mcg for one jar then you can possibly reduce to the 1000 lozenge. Also take with a GOOD B Complex containing adequate Folate or Folic Acid.
Ferritin and Folate results - do you have those too ?
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos back in 2005 - TSH - FT4 - FT3 were all in range - just very high anti-bodies - and so treatment was started .....
Ferritin could do with a nudge ! Around 70 is considered better. VitD dose is too small - around 5000 IU's would be better. Take with the fattiest meal of the day and also take Magnesium and VitK2-MK7 - important co-factors when taking VitD.
When you have anti-bodies attacking the Thyroid you need to be taking Levo to support your thyroid and prevent things getting worse.
Your FT4 and FT3 are low. This combined with high antibodies shows you do have thyroid problem.
Your antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's
vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 are often low as result and also stop thyroid hormones working well, so supplementing to improve will definitely help
Post results when you have them, members can advise
Hashimoto's affects the gut and leads to low vitamin levels
Low vitamin levels stop Thyroid hormone working
Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
But don't be surprised that GP or endo never mention gut, gluten or low vitamins. Hashimoto's is very poorly understood
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
Read and learn as much as possible about Hashimoto's, many medics, including endocrinologists have little idea. It's as muchba disease of the gut as the thyroid
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results
