Tightness around throat

Hi I am new. The tightness around my neck/throat comes and goes now. Has happened about 3 or 4 times. Also feels tight when I am out of breath? Thyroid sometimes sticks out in the mirror as well. Should I pursue this? Thanks for advice.

Do you have Hashimotos? My throat gets this way off and on as well, I have Hashis and am just assuming it is from that. I dont know what to do about it. Except I am hopefull that once I get to an optimal dose of thyroid medication it will stop. Who knows. Do you have other hypo symptoms as well?

Yes I have other symptoms.

TPO antibodies 905.4 (<34)

TG antibodies >1100 (<115)

Yes its hashis, i too get it- tight horrible neck and throat, breathy, even swallowing probs, comes and goes with hashi flareups, i also blame mine on my thyroid nodules as well has these can irritate.

I had no idea I had any thyroid problems, nothing showing or feeling,,I got a neck ultrasound to check neck arteries and they just happen to see something with the thyroid. Told me to get a biopsi done and found nodule. I had a complete thyroidectomy and it was cancerous, though the "good kind". Still I am glad they happen to find it. So I suggest you definately follow it up!

Update, they just did another ultrasound and now I have to have a lymph node biopsied as it is enlarged.
