Hi,. Went to see Dr early November. Told her about dry mouth, which have had for over a year. I use glandosane when I wake in the night. And told her about hoarse voice. Also mentioned weepy itchy eyes. She looked at my eyes, said she thinks tear ducts blocked, and she would contact eye department at local hospital. Also had blood tests. Full blood count, came back normal. And other tests as below. These came back as " Satisfactory ". I had appointment with nurse, and asked her about the satisfactory comment. She looked at results, and said probably because your TSH is out of range. But it has been for a few years since taking NDT. Can anyone see any other reason for the satisfactory comment?
Thanks, Joan.

Satisfactory means what it says and means the lab sees no reason to flag any result up for action. If results had been marked unsatisfactory it would mean there was a problem.
TSH is suppressed but FT4 less than halfway through range you are not overmedicated.
Urea and Electrolytes are all within range and GFR >90 means you have excellent kidney function.
Liver function tests are also within range.
If your nasal passages are also dry ask your GP to consider Sjogrens.
Re hoarse voice, has your GP palpated your neck and throat for swellings or lumps? If not, she should and if any are detected should refer you for a thyroid ultra sound scan.
Thanks Clutter. My nasal passages are dry. Have been for quite a while. Dr never palpated my neck. I went to neck lump clinic couple of years ago, when a small lump was found, but was told it was because my CRP was below normal level. So still waiting for eye clinic appointment ( blocked tear ducts ? ) Might try and see another Dr , but no appointments till after Christmas, unless I phone 8am for one, but can't chose which Dr to see.
Ask your GP to palpate your neck to check the lump and ask GP to consider Sjogrens re the dry mouth, dry nasal passages and dry eyes. I don't think there's any urgency so if seeing a good GP means waiting until after Christmas that's what I'd do.
