Hello
Does anyone have experience of procyclidine? I have been taking it for a week and have some unpleasant side effects and wonder if these improve with time?
Thanks

Tango,
The patient information leaflet supplied with the medication should list common and rare adverse effects. Have a chat with your pharmacist. If the adverse effects are very unpleasant and unlikely to improve there may be an alternative drug which can be prescribed.
This is an explanation of why this is prescribed. Did you have such symptoms?

I tell you I've read so many awful posts tonight I hope yours isn't another.
Thank you Shaws
Not those symptoms, it was prescribed for hyperhidrosis possibly caused by Mirtazapine. The Mirtazapine does work well for me and I have literally tried everything to get my thyroid replacement working over about 17 years.
I am just hoping my body will get used to it.
Thank you Shaws and Clutter for your help and sorry for my delay in responding to you. I am travelling and currently in Vietnam. The good news is that the unpleasant side effects stopped abruptly and the medication does work well - even at half my prescribed dose I am walking around in 30-degree heat and humidity without excessively sweating.
Quite a remarkable turnaround and I will keep you posted.
Thanks again for your support
