Just started t3

How long on average does it take for the meds to kick in . Not noticing a huge difference after 3 days but realise it’s early days , splitting my dose of 25mg

It takes a least 3 weeks.

What is your history? Do you have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism (overt or subclinical)? Have you previously been on Levothyroxine only? Have you been ill and untreated or under-treated for a long time? Are you self-medicating? Are you taking T3 only, or are you mixing it with Levo?

25mcg T3 is roughly equivalent to 75mcg levo. If your optimal dose is (for example) three times this amount then not noticing an effect from 25mcg wouldn't be very surprising. Some people are acutely sensitive to T3, some people aren't.

Are you vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at good levels, have they been tested and are you supplementing

Plus do you have high thyroid antibodies, this is Hashimoto's. If so then gluten free diet may be helpful/necessary

Personally I had to start at much lower dose (2 x 3mcg, 1/8th of 25mcg tablet split dose) it was noticeable within 20mins of taking. Increased very slowly over 6 weeks
