Started t3 today
Hi Hard to say, unusual to notice immediately, although as side effects can be just as quick, I am sure it is possible. Normally my Endo takes 4 days ( I have found this to be so )Then 4 weeks to reach optimum, why a new test is 4weeks + after starting it.
If it works on you so quickly , I would be careful of increasing it too quickly, it is a potent drug.
Best wishes,
Jackie
I noticed a difference within 3 days, and a friend of mine noticed the same day, but I suppose it could be a bit of a placebo effect. I hope you continue you feel good benefits of it but agree with last poster, don't increase too quickly.
T3 has a very quick effect, unlike T4. I felt better in a couple of days. I did go on and have some problems a few weeks later, but overall always feel more 'with it' if I have some T3 in my medication.
I noticed good effects after the first dose. My chest/heart pain (for which no cause could be found) went away. It didn't last long on that first day because I started on such a tiny dose, but now I'm taking a lot more my chest pain is (almost) history. I only get a problem now if I am late taking a dose.
Hi Humanbean,i too get heart pain/weak left arm with no diagnosed cause(but only had ecg),and that sounds v promising that t3 helped u with that as i wad actually worried about trying t3 because of my heart symptoms;i thought it might make it worse?
There is something I've read about called Low T3 Syndrome which I've read can be the cause of heart pain, and I wonder if this is what I have. Unfortunately trying to get it diagnosed is very, very difficult. I started taking T3 because I had very high reverse T3 (which I found out from private tests) and I was keen to lower it. Getting relief from my heart pain was an unexpected bonus.
I'm self-medicating by the way. I lost patience with the NHS keeping me sick.
Going back to the subject of Low T3 Syndrome, I've also read that low T3 levels are often found in people who have just had heart attacks or heart surgery. Personally, I no longer believe that T3 is bad for the heart when used sensibly - I think that is just propaganda to keep the patients quiet!
What it is is that t3 when it came on the market as a drug it was also hailed as a weightloss drug and was given to euthyroid people that were overweight and obese in order to lose weight as a result quite a few had heart attacks that is why doctors are so funny about prescribing it to hypo patients it was the typical kneejerk reaction to the effect of the drug on normal people
question, did your doctor prescribe T3 or did you buy it ?
After a while doctor prescribed ot
