hello everyone. I'm still new and still learning from everyone.
If you have a dual diagnosis of both Graves and Hasimoto's and both TSI and TPO antibodies, how was this diagnosis reached?, and how were you treated to become euthyroid and symptom free?

I had Graves with positive TSI, TPO and ATG. Also TSH 0,01, FT4 11,9 (0,8-1,9). I was treated for Graves with tiamazol for 9 months and then 15 mci of rai. i was euthyroid for a short period of time - 3 month - then i become hypo with symptoms in the last 3 years.
but I found this forum and I think I'm on the right way
Thanks for responding ilenuca. Your numbers are similar to mine when diagnosed. So the diagnosis was Graves even tho you also had TPO antibodies? What is ATG? Guess you were having hyper symptoms so the diagnosis? I think I’ve read too much about trying to figure out what I have, Graves or Hashimoto, and it’s not making sense anymore to my fuzzy brain.
So you were diagnosed Graves because of the symptoms? And the blood levels, I guess, the antibodies weren’t a factor in naming it Graves or underactive
I’ts confusing because I’ve read that those with Hashi can have flares with hyper symptoms and also both kinds of antibodies but I guess their blood levels wouldn’t swing into hyper range during a flare.
