Hi, Yes been on Michael Mosely blood sugar diet and it's working well. I'm pretty sure I'm in ketosis now and burning fat. It's really not that hard to do and I say this as someone who doesn't like veggies that much. It's funny how good they taste when that's pretty much all that's on your plate !
Your gut will be improved having no carbs because bad bacteria lives off carbs.🙈
I am on my 6th weeks of the blood sugar diet , I have lots of energy yet my tsh was 6.35 hypo although I was six days off medication before the test as Merk brand didn't agree with me . I am hoping this way of eating is good for the thryoid .
Yes I do it too. It's the only way I've ever managed to lose any weight, and while it hasn't helped or hindered many of my hypo symptoms it has made a huge difference to gut health! Agree about the veggies in butter ☺
Could you please tell me what you actually eat on the keto diet? I've been told I need to do it, and so far have increased my avocado intake, but that's about it! Do you eat sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots etc or do they count as carbs?
I'm following a ketogenic diet. I've been low carb for a few years, but this didn't prevent severe insulin resistance and consequent weight gain. I have to keep well below 20g daily. My fasting blood glucose is slowly reducing, but my blood ketones never seem to rise above 1.0 mmol/L, and I'm not losing any of the postmenopausal weight I need to shift. I'll persevere just for the CVD health benefits, as my BG had tipped over into the T2 diabetic range. Still waiting for gut health to improve, but that will take time too.
