T3 from Greece

Good morning all, I 've been out of the loop for a while, and a lot has happened. I've given up trying to solve my thyroid issues with the endocrinologist, as he's a staunch unbeliever in the relevance of using T3. I know you could buy it in Greece in the past, and I have a friend coming over next week who can bring me some. Can anyone tell me the name of it, or maybe post a photo which I could send her. Many thanks.

You better check it's OK to bring it through customs. Your friend won't want a big bill at customs. Could she post it to you?

If in Greece the brand is Uni-Pharma and you ask for Taf Tria (T3) or (liothyronine), The emphasise is on the nine but all Pharmacists speak English so there shouldn't be a problem. If medication is for your personal use, you are permitted to bring it into the UK..

More levothyroxine is issued in Greece than liothyronine.

It has been out of stock for a long time, I think worldwide, so there has been a shortage of T3. Few prescriptions are given in Greece for T3. T4 is the most widely prescribed (or bought) as you don't need a prescription.

Thank you, yes, she could post it!

I removed them from the boxes for posting so the package is smaller & lighter, & found two strips click together nicely to save space. I wrapped the information leaflet around two 6 strips to keep them together.

Ask your friend to send them by tracked mail, for a few extra euros. The postal service isn't entirely reliable at either end! There's information on package sizes, prices, etc, on the Delta website.

Good luck!

Nanaedake,

There won't be a customs charge for bringing Uni-Pharma T3 from Greece to UK while we are in the EU.

UniPharma is the brand but ask for T3. Make sure they understand T3 as Tee Tree sounds similar and they hardly stick it there. There’s a shortage at the moment and depending on which part it may be prescription only. Small box half pink half white. Google UniPharma T3 and give her / him a photo to show. I’ll inbox you my supplier as a back up.

Jackiez,

Link to a simple picture of a Uni-Pharma T3 box:

Just as a friendly warning, In the UK, the law states we are allowed to personally import for ourselves and members of our household. As I read it, that does not cover friends. Just be prepared - remembering that lying to customs is possibly a far worse thing to do...
